"Put your booties on!" Lviv, Ukraine; October 5, 2015

One last wander around Lviv before I leave for home and J is off to Poland. My seat companion on the flight to Warsaw doesn't speak to me. But I hear him talking on the phone when we land. He is American. He hears me talking to a woman who can't find her gate, and he says, "Well you go had me fooled, I thought you were Ukrainian!" I'm not sure what it was about me that gave him that impression, but there you go. I end up spraying my much coveted and prized bottle of fizzy water all over the Polish security line and myself in an effort to get a precious sip. Ah, the glamorous life of travel!

A good touring day starts with the cemetery. Lychakivske Cemetery is considered the Pere Lachaise of Eastern Europe. We took the little creaky tram to the cemetery early in the morning to avoid the big groups. I fell in love with the little glass lanterns placed on the graves. I ran across the street to the little florist shop and muddled my way through a purchase. I brought four home with me: green, purple, red and yellow. We stopped by the House of Legends for some coffee and to check out the crazy house. Our servers were all little people, there was a dragon coming out of the building and a car on the roof. Just another day in Lviv. We wandered down to the Opera House, looking for our dinner spot.Dinner at the place under the opera house.
